 Job Description: 

We require a Senior DevOps Engineer who can act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding and mentoring our team while implementing best practices in DevOps. The engineers will play a critical role in implementing DevOps practices and supporting the adaptation and rollout of SDLC processes within our organization.

Scope of Services

The Senior DevOps Engineer provided by your organization will be expected to:

Implement DevOps Practices:

• Drive the adoption of DevOps culture and best practices across our organization.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Infrastructure as Code (IaaC):

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using Terraform and Ansible.
• Ensure consistent and reproducible deployment environments through IaaC principles.

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Act as the SME for DevOps tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to our team members.

Support SDLC Adaptation:

• Collaborate with our leadership and development teams to support the adaptation and rollout of SDLC practices.
• Provide input and guidance on integrating DevOps methodologies within the SDLC framework.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.

Security and Compliance:

• Integrate security best practices within DevOps workflows and SDLC processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and our organizational policies.

Automation and Scripting:

• Automate routine tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Develop custom scripts and tools to meet our specific organizational needs.

Candidate Qualifications:

• We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with the following qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a DevOps role.
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps in a production environment.
• Expertise in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Experience in supporting the adaptation and rollout of SDLC practices.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, particularly within Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Understanding software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of network protocols, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
