Job/ Role Title: Deputy Manager - Legal
Function Department: Legal
Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: Head of Legal Department
Job Purpose: Manage litigation related to Civil, Criminal, food safety, Labour, Essential
Commodities, writs and consumer issues. Draft and review agreements and prepare MIS reports.
Principal Accountabilities (Role & responsibilities):
• Litigation Management: Handle litigation matters (Civil, Criminal, commercial, arbitration,
Food Safety, Essential Commodities, writs etc.), NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, coordinate with
external counsel, represent the company.
• Agreement Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements; ensure legal
compliance.
• Liaising: Related to Govt. Department, Regulatory bodies, Police
• MIS Reporting: Prepare and maintain legal MIS reports, track litigation and compliance.
• Advisory and Support: Provide legal advice, conduct research, and risk assessments.
Qualification/Competencies:
Educational qualifications LL.b. or LL.M
Competencies/skills • Minimum 7 years’ experience of litigation handling.
• Preferred experience in food safety, Essential commodities, and
consumer protection laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and MIS reporting tools.
