Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing on-premises and cloud-ready database environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL databases (on-premises and cloud). • Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies. • Configure and manage replication, partitioning, and indexing to ensure scalability and high performance. • Perform performance tuning and optimization of database queries, schema, and overall system efficiency. • Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. • Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational standards. • Proactively monitor databases, troubleshoot issues, and implement automation to improve reliability and efficiency. • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams for smooth integration and support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 7+ years of experience as a DBA with expertise in Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL. • Hands-on experience in cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery tools, replication technologies, and indexing strategies. • Proven experience with performance tuning, partitioning, and query optimization. • Practical experience in HA/DR setup and ongoing management. • Knowledge of security best practices and database auditing. • Familiarity with monitoring tools and scripting for automation (Shell, Python, or similar)
