Scrutiny and checking of all design & drawing of rolling stock and enabling works submitted by the contractors, in respect of the adequacy to conform to the design standards approved by UPMRC (after scrutiny and check, be put for approval of UPMRC). Testing and commissioning. User requirements analysis for rolling stock; advise on adequate standards; developing tender documents and suggest bidding guidelines; selection of manufactures; assist in negotiations; develop quality control procedure; appointing third party inspection agencies; review progress with vendors and reports to the clients.

Interfacing with other System disciplines concerned.
