Job Title: Senior Courier Boy

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Courier Boy to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the pickup and delivery of packages, documents, and other items to customers, as well as providing leadership and guidance to junior courier boys.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Courier Services: Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior courier boys, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages.

3. Route Optimization: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

5. Package Handling: Handle packages with care, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transport.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and customer interactions.

7. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained, including regular cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.

8. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior courier boys, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Experience: 4-6 years of experience in a courier or logistics role.

3. Skills:

   1. Valid driver's license (if applicable).

   2. Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.

   3. Ability to lift and carry packages (up to 50 lbs).

   4. Basic knowledge of local areas and routes.

   5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4. Certifications/Awards: Relevant certifications, such as a commercial driver's license (CDL), preferred.

Working Conditions:

1. Work Environment: Warehouse/office environment, with frequent travel to customer locations.

2. Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and bending, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
