Qualifications and Skills

• CNC programming expertise is critical to the role, enabling the candidate to create precise and accurate machine-driven processes efficiently (Mandatory skill).
• Strong knowledge of G-code is required to interpret and develop machine instruction languages for CNC equipment operation.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is essential for designing and modeling parts, ensuring accurate machining outcomes.
• Proficient in blueprint reading which aids in understanding and executing complex designs and specifications.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools to verify the dimensions and tolerances of machined parts for quality assurance.
• Skilled in machine tool maintenance to ensure machines are running smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Comprehension of metalworking techniques for effectively manipulating and finishing metal materials into desired shapes and forms.
• Understanding quality control processes is necessary to identify defects and ensure adherence to industry standards and specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout techniques during operations.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan the sequence of operations.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent costly downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to troubleshoot and resolve machining or assembly issues.
